The Moon Massage and Spa

Read the card before you read the listing. The Moon appears in directories as a happy ending shop, but its own website describes Thai, oil, aroma, neck-and-shoulder and foot massage, and nothing else. The rate card says the same: 22 lines of traditional massage, from ฿500 for 45 minutes of foot massage to ฿2,500 for two hours of aroma with a body scrub.

It suits someone out in Bang Na who wants a well-reviewed massage near the MRT at plain-massage prices, in rooms named after planets. Skip it if you came for anything an ordinary spa doesn't sell: nothing on the card or in the reviews points that way. Google reviewers mostly praise the space theme, the cleanliness and the welcome.

The website describes a space-themed spa at Parc Bangna with five themed rooms: Mars, Jupiter, Neptune, Uranus and Saturn. The menu is Thai body massage, Thai deep tissue, aroma, neck and shoulder, foot massage and a body scrub, plus a four-hands option.

The website's promotions mention 90- and 120-minute programmes, without prices. Every session on the card has a length, which makes comparison easy. The happy ending label on this shop comes only from a third-party directory listing; the shop's own pages don't support it, and this guide doesn't either. Booking is through LINE. Payment methods are not published, so ask when you book. At these prices it sits closer to the cheap list than anything else in the guide, and its four-hands option is a plain massage, unlike most on the four-hands list.

The address is unit A1 at the Parc Bangna project, 951 Bang Na Nuea, Bangkok 10260. MRT Si Iam is 160 metres away, about three minutes on foot. MRT Si Udom is around 17 minutes' walk and Si La Salle about 24.

The spa is open 10:00 to 22:00, seven days a week, so it closes well before the last train. It is a long way from the Sukhumvit cluster; for shops there, see the Sukhumvit list or the shops near a station.

The Moon holds a 4.9 Google rating from 158 reviews, nearly all of them five stars, and they read like reviews of a day spa.

The space theme is the first thing Google reviewers mention, from the rooms down to the slippers. Several also describe the shop as very clean, and a few say it smells good from the door. The front desk and staff are often called helpful and friendly, and a couple of reviewers mention snacks after the session. Therapists are praised for listening to what the guest asked for.

The complaints are about consistency. A four-star review says one therapist in a pair was weak while the other was good, and a one-star review describes front-desk staff who seemed annoyed by a request and a therapist who complained during the massage.
