The middle of the market is easy to find. Among the 25 shops listed here, seven start at exactly ฿2,000, from Stella Nuru Massage BKK and AMOR 888 to Kawaii, ELLE, Exotic, Aya and the soapy house Smile. Across all 48 in the district, the median starting price is the same ฿2,000.

Below that line sit eight shops. FengHuang Massage has the lowest starting price of the 25 at ฿1,000, then Cherry Massage Bangkok at ฿1,600, OLA OLA and Sukebe at ฿1,700, Yume, TEN and Zen at ฿1,800 and Boss26 at ฿1,900.

Above it, the numbers climb quickly. Swan Massage starts at ฿6,800, the highest of the 25. Canary starts at ฿4,500, Hiso at ฿4,000, Aimi at ฿3,900 and Aries at ฿3,500. Somewhere among the other 23 shops in the district is a starting price of ฿12,800, so the top end goes a long way past what's shown here.

A starting price is only the first line on a card. It can be a short session, a plain massage or a standard room, and it tells you nothing about the length. Then there are the perfect scores. Enjoy Bliss, FengHuang, Near Nuru and ELLE all show a 5.0, from 31, 28, 22 and 20 reviews. That's a smaller sample than a few hundred, and the page treats it that way. Hiso and Awesome999 sit at 4.9 from 121 and 107 reviews; Yume, Lucky Cat and Sukebe also hold 4.9, from 85, 47 and 38.

The lowest score among the 25 is a 4.5, for Aya Massage Bangkok from 118 reviews. Nobody here is coasting on a bad name. That makes the other facts (price, hours, the walk) the more useful way to choose between two doors on the same soi.

Fifteen of the 25 shops give BTS Asok as their nearest stop. The shortest walks are short indeed: ELLE Nuru Massage at two minutes, Smile Bangkok Massage at three, AMOR 888 at four, TEN and Swan at five.
