Thonglor's prices bunch together more than its reputation suggests. Of the twelve shops with prices on record, five start at ฿2,000 or a whisker either side: DNA Massage, Waterbomb Nuru Massage Bangkok, Pretty Massage and Airy Massage at ฿2,000, and Rakuen at ฿1,900.

Below that sit four lower starts. Thonglor ONE Massage and Snow White Massage begin at ฿1,700. Two shops, Best Relax Bangkok and The Best Relax Massage, start at ฿900, the lowest in the district. A figure that low is usually a plain massage or a short session rather than the hour you came for, so read the next line on the card.

Above the middle, Momo starts at ฿2,200, The Zecret at ฿2,500 and Candy Massage at ฿2,750, the highest starting price here. Nobody in Thonglor starts above ฿3,000.

The district medians tell you roughly what a session costs: ฿3,000 for 60 minutes. The 90-minute and two-hour medians on record, ฿2,900 and ฿3,000, come from a smaller and different set of cards, so don't read them as a discount for staying longer. Few districts put this many doors this close to a platform. Six shops are one minute on foot from BTS Thong Lo: Rakuen Massage, Pretty Massage, Momo Massage Thonglor, Tulip Massage, Snow White Massage and Best Relax Bangkok. In the rain, that minute is worth a lot.

A little further up the soi, Candy Massage is three minutes out and Airy four. Thonglor ONE and Relax and Heal are five, Airi six and The Best Relax Massage eight.

Then the walks lengthen. Pure Scrub and Spa Bangkok is eleven minutes away, The Zecret thirteen and DNA Massage fourteen, the furthest on the page. Waterbomb is filed under Thonglor but lists BTS Ekkamai as its nearest stop, eleven minutes away.

Thonglor is a long road. For the shops past the ten-minute mark, a motorbike taxi or a short car ride up the soi saves a sweaty quarter-hour.

The strongest records in the district both belong to nuru houses. DNA Massage holds a 4.8 Google rating from 126 reviews; Airi Massage a 4.8 from 116. No other shop here passes a hundred.

Behind them, the counts sit in the middle range. Momo Massage Thonglor has 93 reviews behind a 4.2, Rakuen Massage 90 behind a 4.6, Tulip 74 behind a 4.0 and Snow White 66 behind a 3.7, the lowest score among the established names. Pretty Massage holds 4.3 from 49, Waterbomb 4.6 from 46 and Thonglor ONE 4.3 from 33.

The perfect scores rest on thin ground. Pure Scrub shows a 5.0 from 15 reviews, The Zecret from four and Relax and Heal from one. Candy Massage has 4.8 from ten. Best Relax Bangkok and Airy Massage have no Google rating at all. A small count isn't a warning, only less to go on.

The Skytrain stops around midnight. Nine Thonglor shops keep going on at least some nights.

The Zecret Nuru Massage runs latest, to 04:00 every night, opening at 11:00 and an hour earlier on Saturday. Relax and Heal Massage Outcall Bangkok lists 09:00 to 03:30; its name points to a visiting service, so check how it works on its page. DNA Massage closes at 02:00, and at 02:30 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Airi closes at 02:00 every night, Candy at 02:00 except Sunday, when it shuts at midnight. Waterbomb runs to 01:00 and Rakuen to 00:30.

Thonglor sits in the middle of the Sukhumvit run. One stop in toward town is Phrom Phong, with a longer and dearer list, and beyond it Asok. One stop out is Ekkamai, and past it Phra Khanong, where four shops start at ฿2,000 or ฿2,100.

How Thonglor compares is mostly a matter of the first line. No shop here starts above ฿2,750, and twelve of the sixteen publish a figure somewhere, which makes it an easy district to shortlist from a phone. What it lacks is soapy: none of the sixteen is filed as a soapy house, so for the bath, look to Asok or the Ratchada end of the Metro.

Two listings here deserve a second look before you travel. Best Relax Bangkok and The Best Relax Massage carry near-identical names, the same ฿900 start and the same 24-hour listing, at one and eight minutes from the station. Check each page's map pin, so you end up at the door you meant.
