Where the nuru houses sit
Asok is a junction before it is a neighbourhood: BTS Asok above Sukhumvit Road, MRT Sukhumvit beneath it, and the sois running off both sides. The nuru shops follow the trains. Fourteen of the 25 shown here are nearest BTS Asok, eight nearest MRT Sukhumvit, and three, OLA OLA Nuru Massage, Cherry Massage Bangkok and Lucy Nuru Massage, sit ten minutes from BTS Phrom Phong. The line between the two districts is a blurry one.
Six of the 25 are five minutes or less on foot from their station. ELLE Nuru Massage has the shortest walk, two minutes from BTS Asok, then Enjoy Bliss Massage and The Sense Bangkok at three, AMOR 888 and Canary Massage at four, TEN Massage Bangkok at five. The hour is the number that usually decides things, and the typical 60-minute session costs ฿4,000. Ninety minutes runs about ฿5,000, two hours about ฿5,500.
Among the 25 shown, FengHuang Massage has the lowest start at ฿1,000, a figure from a thaiolddriver field report rather than the shop. Cherry Massage Bangkok starts at ฿1,600, OLA OLA and Sukebe Nuru Massage at ฿1,700, and four more (Yume, TEN, Zen and Lucy) at ฿1,800. At the top, Canary Massage starts at ฿4,500 according to its own website, Hiso Nuru Massage at ฿4,000 and Aimi Bangkok Massage at ฿3,900. Whose price is it
Most of the 25 publish their own rate card. Several don't, and are priced from elsewhere. Stella Nuru Massage BKK and TEN Massage Bangkok are priced from listings on thainuru.com. Each page says which source it used.
A field report or a directory listing can be months old, and a shop can change its card overnight. Treat those figures as a guide to the range, not a quote. Whatever the source, confirm the price and the length at the door before you agree to anything.
Ratings, and how many people stand behind them
Google ratings run high on this stretch: 14 of the 25 shown score 4.8 or more. The number beside the stars tells you more. Stella Nuru Massage BKK has 4.9 from 544 reviews and AMOR 888 4.7 from 494. Aries Nuru Bangkok (4.8 from 265), Canary Massage (4.7 from 235) and Exotic Massage Bangkok (4.7 from 220) come next by volume.
A perfect score can rest on very little. Enjoy Bliss Massage shows 5.0 from 31 reviews, FengHuang Massage from 28, Near Nuru Massage from 22 and ELLE Nuru Massage from 20. That doesn't make them worse. It means fewer people have said anything yet, so read the count before the stars.
After the last train
The Skytrain stops around midnight. Ten of the 25 nuru shops shown here keep going after it. FengHuang Massage is open until 04:00; Exotic Massage Bangkok, Zen Massage Bangkok and Queenmarich Massage until 03:00; TEN Massage Bangkok until 02:00 and AMOR 888 until 01:30. Another ten shut at midnight. The early closers are Aries Nuru Bangkok at 22:00, then Stella, Aimi, Kawaii and The Sense Bangkok at 23:00. Opening times are tighter: most unlock between 10:00 and noon, and Awesome999 waits until 13:00. For a late session, plan the ride home now, not at 03:00: a taxi from the mouth of the soi or a ride-hailing car.
